Sliding Vane Pumps

Efficient Self-Adjusting Vanes

Vanes automatically extend and adjust to maintain a tight seal against the pump casing, ensuring consistent performance and efficiency.

Sliding Vane Pumps

Introduction

These pumps contain multiple vanes that can freely slide in and out of slots within the pump rotor. As the pump driver rotates the rotor, centrifugal force, push rods, and/or pressurised fluid cause the vanes to extend outward and press against the inner bore of the pump casing, creating pumping chambers.

As the rotor turns, fluid enters the spaces between the vanes (pumping chambers) when they pass the suction port. The fluid is then carried around the pump casing until it reaches the discharge port, where it is expelled into the discharge piping.
