Custom Calibration Blocks for NDT Applications
To make sure you get consistent and reliable test results across flaw detection projects, Imenco’s EDM department machines calibration blocks to exact specifications. We use wire EDM and sinker EDM to machine notches, flat-bottom holes, side-drilled holes, and other key features for calibration of testing equipment.
Calibration- and reference blocks for ultrasonic testing
The calibration blocks are used by NDT professionals to verify materials and welds. All blocks are machined from the same material as the part under test, or from certified materials with traceability. We machine simulated defects with accuracy according to customers requirements, normally +/-0,1mm, including:
- Simulated cracks
- Flat-bottom holes
- Side-drilled holes
- Notches and customized features
