Providing Smart Solutions across the Americas: -I didn’t know you guys did that!
Commercial Director Americas, Israel Madrigal, has had a busy few months since joining Imenco in June. From his base in Houston, he has been meeting customers, expanding relationships and introducing more of Imenco’s capabilities to the Americas market – often receiving the same response: “I didn’t know you guys did that!”
Israel joined Imenco with decades of oil and gas experience spanning drilling, engineered equipment, technical-commercial sales and market development. Since June, much of his focus has been on getting in front of customers, particularly in the Gulf of Mexico, strengthening existing relationships and increasing awareness of what Imenco can offer beyond its best-known subsea products.
Many subsea companies are already familiar with Imenco’s leading shackles and weak links. However, conversations about solutions such as subsea winches, Bauer cylinders, Marine Tension systems and Imenco’s wider topside and drilling capabilities have highlighted further opportunities.
“Quite often, the reaction is: ‘I didn’t know you guys did that!’ That tells us there is a real opportunity to show customers the full range of what Imenco can offer,” says Israel with a smile.
Those customer conversations are also providing valuable insight into where Imenco’s capabilities may fit customer needs. In the Gulf, discussions have included late-life assets and decommissioning, alongside a broader drive to extend asset life, reduce offshore cost and complexity, and finding practical solutions to intervention and maintenance challenges. With Imenco’s extensive experience across these areas, he sees significant opportunities ahead.
Next week, Israel takes those conversations to Brazil and Rio de Janeiro for Rio Oil & Gas. The event provides an opportunity to continue building relationships across the Americas, exchange experiences between markets and support Imenco’s growing team and presence in Brazil.
