Imenco Secures International Contracts with Kongsberg Defence & Aerospace (KONGSBERG)
Imenco continues to grow within the defence sector and has recently signed three new contracts of significant size with KONGSBERG. The contracts build on previous deliveries but this time include new and larger international projects. The collaboration with KONGSBERG is an important foundation for Imenco’s delivery of systems and technological solutions to the international defence industry.
As before, these contracts include deliveries that draw on Imenco’s full expertise within automation, electrical engineering, mechanical systems, and instrumentation. Through complete in-house engineering across all disciplines, Imenco will ensure the delivery of comprehensive and innovative solutions that meet the strict quality requirements of the defence industry.
In addition, this round of deliveries must be adapted to the standards and regulations of the various countries involved, placing new demands on documentation and quality control.
“Over the past years, we have strengthened our focus on the defence industry, and this is by far our largest contract to date,” explains Ingunn Ø. Iveland, CEO of Imenco.
“We work closely with Kongsberg on the further development of our products and solutions for the defence sector, and we are proud that these solutions will now also be installed at facilities belonging to our alliance partners,” Iveland concludes.
The deliveries in the new contract will be produced and shipped from Imenco’s new location at Eikeskog in Aksdal, and will secure work for three years. The contract also means that the company will need to hire additional employees across several disciplines, particularly engineers.
